"UNCONDITIONALITY"

We have heard so many times, "I just want to be happy!" ... Essentially, what is happiness really?

Truly, what is it that is stopping you from being happy? ... Is it something or a situation that is not what and how you want it to be? Is it something that you want and feel you don't have? ... Is it someone who is not doing what you want them to do? Is it you, waiting to be someone else, to change or to do something else?

So, what is happiness? We say it with a new word: "Unconditionality". How do we achieve "unconditionality?" By being aware, by perceiving, deciding, knowing and by choosing that everything IS OKAY, no matter what it is ... Any circumstance, situation, person in our life is OKAY, no matter when and how they come into our life, no matter what they do or bring, or don't do or bring into our life ...it is OKAY. It may not happen the way we want it to happen, it may not be what we expect, what we want, but it is OKAY!

The feeling resulting from this simple yet incredibly rewarding and life-altering self-reminder is out of this world ...it is happiness ... We can do ourselves a huge favour by relaxing, by getting out of the mind's analysing and defining "game" and by taking whatever presents to us in a uninvolved, detached and calm way when we know that all is OKAY no matter what, therefore not reacting and getting upset as soon as something doesn't go "my way!"...

On this planet, we think that we need to have circumstances and situations go "my way," in order to have control on what happens next, "in order to be happy." Been there, done that. It just does not work like this, as we all know! Being relaxed and "detached" about what turns out, one way or the other, takes suffering out of the picture and brings ....yes ...happiness!

It's so simple and yet we've had it upside down for so long! ... By letting things and people be the way they are, and by not forcing a way, our way, so that they are what we, the media, our parents or traditions think they should be. Is it easy? No, not the least! But as we choose to experience the happiness that already lives in us, under all clouds of expectations and distorted beliefs, we are ready to do anything, aren't we? And a change of perception being in order, this is exactly our next step.

So, we can choose to be happy no matter what presents and unfolds, because we do not allow and let outside elements or circumstances affect our state of happiness! We do not let them interfere with our natural state of peace!

We choose to be happy, because it's our decision and perception beyond "outside" situations, knowing that everything is OKAY! Surely, we may choose not to be happy for a while and to play a little or a lot with drama if we want the full experience, but we know that we can eventually choose to be happy anytime and without some circumstances on the outside dictating if, why, when, how and whether we deserve to be happy!

We each tend to our own garden, we plant in it whatever we like, we manage it, we nurture it and we give it tender loving care, light and water as we wish, depending on what result we want to achieve.
