GONE WITH THE GUILT
Each and everyone of us ... we all make what we call “mistakes” ...
Would you agree that these “mistakes” are truly experiences that we choose to have in order to get the sense of what “feels right” or what “feels wrong?”
Oh, most of the time, we are confident, we know what is the “right” thing to do, but at times, we don’t know ...
This is when we choose to act or react in a certain manner that is eventually perceived as and called “mistake” ...
This “mistake” or simply “lack of knowing” makes us “feel bad” ...
We end up feeling guilty ...ah guilt ...it comes around and settles in so discreetly!
When we feel guilt, we unconsciously look for punishment and we attract it in many different forms ...
This very punishment that we unconsciously inflict on our self creates pain ...
We have been living with this situation as a way of existence
At times, it can even become unbearable, clouding our experience of life to a point that we feel quite unhappy and stressed!
What can we do about it?
Well ...we can try this ...
For one, we can make the life altering decision to stop being so hard on our self!
Secondly, we can make the decision to respect and honour others’ ways of being hard on themselves as well ...
Most importantly, when we feel that we have “tried” a thought, judgment, choice or action which makes us “feel bad,”
We simply can look at it as an experience to define right from wrong in our mind ...
When we feel “wrong”, we can simply tap our self on the back and give our self a hug for having succeeded to define what was working for us or not!
And then the juicy final part ...
We can genuinely and lovingly forgive our self for having tried ...that’s all...
And then, we can go on, moving forward towards other possible thoughts and choices ...
Until we find the ones that will “feel good”
Friends ...we wish you free of guilt and self-punishment!
We wish you to surrender the past experiences that do not serve any longer ...
and we wish you happy, content and at peace ...
With love,
Eveline and Franco
